These pads offer a graphite resistant anti-static very slick thin flexible clear top film which helps to resist graphite build-up giving you a clearer crisper sound plus better contour around your player audio head for great sound and less resistance on the pull going across the audio head and players motor. Flex contours around your player's track change solenoid offering a great track change while the foam pads top layer gives the audio tape enough resistance to help prevent double or even triple track changes from more sensitive track change solenoids. Because they have a white plastic base just insert them into your cartridge. These foam pads are in the wide version which are often used on CRC, CBS, mid 70's + GRT's or any cartridge that requires a wide foam pad and will line up evenly with the bottom base's edge inside the foam pad cartridge chamber for a perfect fit. If this foam pad should overlap the bottom edge of the base of the foam pad chamber the 15 count Narrow Anti-Static Graphite Resistant Gray Foam Pad with white plastic base will be needed and will fit evenly with the edge of the cartridge chambers base for a perfect fit. DIRECTIONS FOR FOAM PADS: Remove old original foam pad with long tweezers, only opening the top of the cartridge area first if possible and then inserting the new one after removing the old one, be sure to clean the old foam pad residue left off by the old foam pad with alcohol and a Q-Tip, making sure not to get any inside the cartridge before inserting the new foam pad. DIRECTIONS FOR FELT PADS: Remove the old, dried glue off the spring pad (if any) by lightly rubbing or scraping it off with an alcohol-soaked Q-Tip or a very small flat head screwdriver. Then apply the EZ Peel & Stick Felt Pad by peeling off the paper behind the felt pad. Then with your tweezers grab a side of the felt pad as close to the edge as possible (try not to grab the adhesive below the felt edge) then line up the felt corners (on the opposite side of where you are holding the felt pad with the tweezers) to the two corners with the metal spring. Then press it down on the metal spring once the two corners of the felt pad and the two corners of the metal spring are all aligned. The adhesive on the peel & stick is very sticky so please be sure to lightly place on copper spring and lightly set till it is square before pressing hard into place.
