After some appearances in operettas he made his opera debut in 1886 with the role of Méphistophéles (‘’Faust’’ Gounod) at Hollandsche Opera company of De Groot. Here he sang in 1889 in the premiere of 'Brinio' (Simon van Milligen). After 1890 guest appearances in Europa and later in America(Metropolitan Opera). From 1899 to his dead he joined the Opera Comique in Paris, where he sang the title role in the premiere of ‘’Macbeth’’ (E Bloch). He specialised above all to the French repertory. Debuted (1889) in Amsterdam as Gounod's Méphistophélès (‘’Faust’’). He toured the U.S.with Jean de Reszke, Nellie Melba, and Emma Calvé before appearing with the Metropolitan Opera in ‘’Roméo et Juliette’’ as Mercutio (1898). He appeared frequently at the Opéra-Comique, Covent Garden, and at the Monnaie in Brussels. Seen here as Scarpia. Chronology of some appearances 1886 Hollandsche Opera company 1889 Hollandsche Opera company 1899 Paris Opera Comique Ferruccio Corradetti ( San Severino Marche , February 21, 1867 - New York , June 19, 1939 ) was an Italian baritone .Baritone Ferruccio Corradetti (1866–1939) did not have an outstanding stage career, but was one of the pioneers of operatic recording.Biography He moved to Rome at a very young age for study reasons, he served in the Republican Party and was arrested several times for attacks on the corruption of the public administration. He fled briefly to France to escape yet another arrest, before returning home and undergoing trial (later being acquitted). He made his debut towards the end of the 19th century at the Quirino Theater in Rome with Il campanello by Gaetano Donizetti . He had a long and very successful career, hitting the stages in Europe, Latin America and the United States, where he moved after 1913 to continue his singing career. He died on June 19, 1939: recovering from pneumonia, he fell ill at the end of a rehearsal for the part of the Count of Luna in Il Trovatore . He is buried in Calvary Cemetery in New York. If for any reason your transaction was NOT SATISFACTORY, pls contact me and I will work something out with you. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A REASON TO GIVE ME A NEGATIVE RATING or a LOW STAR RATING. Quick note on grading: The Grade (Excellent to Poor, I don't give Mint) refers to the WEAR of the record. Any other defects are stated separately When I listen to a record, I may also give it an aural grade (again E to P), and make a SUBJECTIVE judgment of the pressing quality for hiss and surface noise."EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET" is close to noiseless, like a vinyl pressing."VERY QUIET" is an above average quiet record for a given pressing."Quiet" is a record that is a great example with some noise. These judgments are SUBJECTIVE and will depend one the styli, phonograph etc. you use on your own equipment. Multiple item shipping: I am happy to combine items for shipment in one parcel.
