Bound by Bumpus Ltd., London, in full olive green calf with gilt ruled borders to boards, spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering on brown morocco label, and elaborate Art Nouveau style gilt floral decoration to compartments. All edges gilt (bright). Externally, the binding remains sound and firm. Light rubbing to extremities. A small number of minor surface marks, mainly to lower board. Spine sunned to brown. Internally, also sound and firm. Plain endpapers, without inscriptions, bookplates, &c. Gilt ruled borders to turn-ins, with binder's signature stamped in gilt at front. Light foxing and toning to frontispiece. Pages with slight hint of age-toning otherwise generally very clean and tidy throughout, just occasional minor blemishes.
