Description: Amazing architectural photography from the height of the Art Deco period by an influential architect, Erich Mendelsohn, who worked as an expressionist. He traveled in the early part of the 20th century to America where he photographed streetscapes which in turn were published in this book. The cover has some stains and discoloration and there is a couple of spots at the front along with a succession of bookplates: one inside front board and one on first spare. Paper is slightly discolored due to age. Binding has some scuffs, shelf wear and corner bends and wear. Please see photos and do not hesitate to email for more pictures or with questions. The photos are very good. Classic and rare Art Deco work. Good Condition: folio: boards stained and discolored at front and back: black lettering of title and author on front with reverse colorway on spine:scuffs to corners and slight bends with missing material: bookplate inside front and bookplate on next spare: gray spot on first several pages: pencil on upper right of first spare: photos intact: “Amerika: Bilderbuch Eines Architekten mit 77 Photographischen Aufnahmen des Verfassers”: Erich Mendelsohn: Berlin: Rudolf Mosse: 1926 RAREE1926BHMA
