Description: 1950s Greek Doll Souvenir Beaded Traditional Costume International Corfu?This is a vintage probably 1950s-1960s, beaded, souvenir doll that maybe from the Corfu region of Greece?. She is unmarked, International doll and measures approximately 15 inches in height from top of hat to bottom of dress. She is a very, fancy doll; She has a hand-painted, composition face with plastic, arms and plastic legs & body. She is dressed in traditional costume wearing a hand-sewn, red, velvet dress which is accented with lace, gold metallic rick-rack & trim, sequins, turquoise and white glass beads along with large brass sequins at her bodice . Her petticoat has several layers of peplum & lace. The red dress is heavily decorated with all the above mentioned items. she has a see through lace scarf over her shoulders, & bell sleeves . Her red hair is intricately rolled . She is wearing ivory stockings and black, plastic shoes. The lace is tan in color or has just discolored over time? she is missing two beads on the front of the dress and the gold trim is laying down on most of her dress and hat she also has some light staining on her dress she will need to be cleaned Please view the photos she is offered as is and as pictured.
