1997 Land Rover Defender

Description: Incredibly unique '97 Defender 110 2.8i pickup. Very very rare 2.8L BMW powered Defender. Has the M52 engine which was used here in the US on the E36 and E39 3' and 5' series cars. This was a factory option for Defenders in South Africa from 1997-2001! I purchased this Defender from SA Land Rover Hub in Pretoria and imported it last year. They repainted it, put in new carpet, put in new upholstery, replaced the body and door seals, replaced the shock absorbers, replaced the brake pads and rotors, and did a few other miscellaneous repairs. Since I imported it, I've done the following: -- new front and rear driveshafts-- new rear wheel bearings and stub axles-- Slickshift short shifter upgrade-- Rovers North digital speedo in MPH-- new throttle cable-- new throttle body-- new alternator, drive belts, belt tensioner, and idler pulley-- new fan clutch and fan-- new brake master cylinder-- new Sony bluetooth stereo and new Kicker speakers-- new style upgraded door locks, new handles, new keys, and new ignition switch-- new valve cover gasket-- new spark plugs-- new filters and fluids-- new rear diff ring and pinion, new Detroit locker rear differential, new bearings and seals in rear diff, HD rear diff cover-- new WIPAC LED lights all around: headlamps, driving lamps, turn signals, parking lights, and brake lights-- new battery-- USB charging and USB connection to stereo-- new genuine LR front and rear floormats-- brand new Cooper Discoverer tires This Rover really doesn't need anything and runs and drives like a new vehicle. It constantly turns heads everywhere I drive it. Has factory A/C -- the A/C works well -- even in Florida! Has a clean US Florida title.
