Description: Alder cones from European alder (Alnus glutinosa), collected from pristine Finnish nature reserve. They contain a load of beneficial tannins which makes them a great addition to a blackwater tank. A few cones is enough to give the water a nice tan. More can be used to bring pH down effectively, in a natural way. Shrimp also love to graze on them. Stored in an airtight ziplock bag which contains approximately 50 cones.
