This frame was donated to Dr Honan who invented the Honan Cataract Balloon and was part of a multi cooperative effort between several manufacturers at the time to help the research continue. Ao, Romco, Titmus, and BnL all were part of the effort to come up with this pre cataract surgery invention titled the "Honan Cataract Balloon" which is still used in practice to this day. When he passed away I purchased all of his inventory and research equipment. This is part of that collection of frames that never got used or had lenses installed. It was still in its paper sleeve when I got it in this exact condition. This frame is a piece of American History and is flawless. Ready to have your lenses installed for years of vintage style and fashion that no one else can find. Thick Italian Acetate. 4 barrel stainless steel hinges. These were manufactured at a time when America was at its best. Designed to last a lifetime at 70 plus years old and still looks and functions as good as the day it rolled of the assembled line.
