The artist Ferdi has skillfully handpainted a beautiful portrait of a lady holding a sword on the front and signed his amazing work. This urn is a true representation of the Victorian Art Nouveau era with its gold gilt scroll details and numerous Austrian scenes showcased throughout. This lidded ewer is handmade and crafted with the finest materials, making it a one-of-a-kind collectible. The Royal Vienna makers mark on the bottom ensures its originality and authenticity, and its antique value is further enhanced by being from the 1850-1899 time period. This beautiful piece is sure to be a unique addition to any antique collection. Condition is good antique pre-owned with a bit of paint and gold gilt scuffing, mostly on edges. (See last photos). The portrait is in wonderful condition. The lid's inside rim has been altered with cork to keep it more secure. Does not appear to have any chips, cracks or crazing to note. Has a signature on the bottom (Judith). Not sure of its significance, as well as a number which may have been an estate #.
