Description: This listing is for a beautiful American antique tiger oak chifferobe armoire wardrobe from the 1800s. It has a beveled mirrored door with lock and key. The top, sides, door and bottom all come apart or detach for easier transport. A few years ago, I asked a carpenter to make the piece more secure- not that it really needed it, but it is well over 100 years old. The carpenter attached a board across the back (photo #4) and inside across the top which did make it more secure, but probably not what a furniture maker would have chosen to do. The boards can be removed, but attached the armoire can be moved without breaking it down. There is one interior shelf that is in the upper portion. There are rollers, wheels, original to the piece, but the back two legs of the armoire are cracked and would need to be repaired in order to hold the wheels.
