There's a remedy for this: the Axxess AXDIS-HK1 wiring interface retains your vehicle's parking assist warning chimes, provides 12-volt accessory power, and keeps your aux in jack, USB port, and the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) feature. With the AX-HYKIA-SPDIF adapter ( sold separately), you can also retain the use of your factory amplifier, but you'll lose your fader control. Wire up the AXDIS-HK1 to your aftermarket radio, mount the module, and plug it into the existing factory plug. Get the great sound you want, and keep your factory features intact. The AXDIS-HK1 includes a prewired harness for Axxess' AXSWC steering wheel control interface ( sold separately), which allows you to keep your steering wheel controls with most receivers. The interface also provides 12-volt accessory power as well as the outputs you'll need to connect a NAV receiver, including parking brake, reverse, and vehicle speed sense (VSS). This interface is designed for use with non-amplified systems or when bypassing an amplified system. Important Note: This AXDIS-HK1 interface allows you to keep your factory door chime (needed to keep audible safety warnings functioning) while providing a switched 12-volt power source for your new radio. If you do not use a compatible adapter when you replace your factory radio, you will disable the audible warning system in your vehicle.
