The fixture is mounted on top of the copy stops using the included hardware. Please note that like the last picture when this unit is used on one of the larger machines it must be mounted directly to your copy slide holding tray. This will give the unit the needed clearance to allow your stylus arm to swing over the top of the unit without striking it. This will require that you drill two small holes in the aluminum or stainless steel tray to mount the unit.You then write your phrase(with the included marker) on the brass disk which serves as a guide to help you during the engraving process. This fixture is very easy to use and is a nice item to have when engraving personal items like knives, jewelry, tools, etc. When you are finished using the fixture you wipe the marker off the disk with lacquer thinner, acetone, nail polish remover etc.LETTER HEIGHT = .291"LETTER CIRCLE DIAMETER(outside edge to outside edge) = 3.200" We also have an optional sub micro circular disk that fits this fixture that will create an even smaller circle of text. The diameter of the circle of text on the sub- micro disk is 2 3/8" or 2.375". At 8:1 reduction this optional disk can create a circle of text that is only .290" in diameter or 7.36 mm.   If you pay by noon I will mail this the same day!
