Description: Computer animation began its journey to becoming a part of pop culture by the late 80s. Since the mid to late 90s, many films were made using only computer animation. It has a different look, in my opinion, and is more clear and crisp than traditional animation (that's been around for well over a hundred years)! And computer animation seems to get better and better each year... In 1990, a series of computer animation specials called 'The Mind's Eye' began. The first title is called 'The Mind's Eye: A Computer Animation Odyssey', and that one puts everything into motion. The first title came out on VHS video tape. The next three titles, and available today, are 'Beyond the Mind's Eye', 'The Gate to the Mind's Eye', and 'Odyssey Into the Mind's Eye'. Several more titles were released through the years. Even other companies got into computer animation fun! Up for grabs today is a sweet SIX PACK of cool animation specials, with a bonus SEVENTH DVD. That's a whopping seven awesome discs with hours and hours of really cool classic computer animation! We start with 'Beyond the Mind's Eye', which was originally in a CD sized case, but that case got damaged, so it's been put in a DVD case (which is why the artwork looks a bit strange). Released in 1992. The disc itself looks great, with only a couple of very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad or that will affect play. Case looks great. Next up is 'The Gate to the Mind's Eye', released THIRTY years ago, in '94. This one features the music of Thomas Dolby, who had a big hit in the 80s with the song "She Blinded Me With Science". This one will blow your mind! The disc itself looks okay, but has many light scratches on it. Nothing too deep, or that will affect play (I've play tested it.) Case looks new. Then we have 'Odyssey Into the Mind's Eye', originally released in 1996. This one is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! It features the music of Kerry Livgren, originally from the band Kansas. And it rocks! I ended up with two copies, so you get the factory sealed one. 'Luminous Visions' was released from Odyssey, by way of 'The Mind's Eye Presents' and Sony Music Entertainment, in 1998. This looks like it would be in 3D, but it's not! Very wild stuff from animator Yoichiro Kawaguchi. It uses the music of ambient electronic music pioneers Tangerine Dream, and even adds a 'soundtrack' CD. That CD is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! The DVD looks new and is still shiny and clean. Case also looks new. TWENTY years ago, in 2004, something called 'Animusic: A Computer Animation Video Album' came out on DVD. The actual release date may be earlier than that, but this is when the DVD came out. There's quite a bit on here, with the actual program, as well as several special features. Disc has only a few very light surface marks on it, but nothing bad, or that will affect play. Case looks new. I'll even add 'Animusic Part 2', which like part 1, has tons of cool computer animation, and is set to some great music! Part 2's disc looks new and is shiny and clean. The case also looks new. That's SIX incredible discs of mind-blowing animation, but you'll get a 7th one, too! (Because it's almost Christmas! Lol) You'll also get another title in the 'Mind's Eye' series, and this one is called 'Computer Animation Journeys'! And the best part? This bad boy is also STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! Released TWENTY years ago, in '04. I went through my computer animation phase many years ago, and purchased these. They're fun to watch at parties or get-togethers. You can put them on the TV, and have whatever music you like playing at the same time. They all come with music, however, and most are in surround sound. So it's whatever you want!
