Description: Early 19th Century Cobblers Hammer Head. Measuring 4 5/16" long (straight across), the face is 1 9/16" in diameter, the peen is 1 9/16" wide, and this weighs 10 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker, but the style says early 19th Century to my eye. This is in reasonably good condition for the age and use and was cleaned. There is some overall light patina. The face has some light dings and wear. The peen also has some dings and little mushrooming on the underside. The square punched eye is good. This ain't perfect, but as these guys go, this one sure ain't bad. A working and collectible old trade hammer head for sure! All items for sale unless otherwise noted are purchased and in most cases professionally restored by me. I take pride in offering quality items. Not everything is perfect, but it is as I say it is. Also, I smoke a pipe, drink whiskey, both cheap and good, and cuss more in a hour than most folks do in a month. If any or all of the above bother's ya, well then we ain't got no reason to be doing business. RULES OF THE GAME 2023 EDITION - READ ME! NO BEST OFFERS I am happy to combine shipping on purchases.
