Description: I purchased a bunch of these miniatures between 1984 -1987 from a colleague who worked with the Au People of the West Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea. They are all handmade miniature replicas of real items that the native people used for daily life. This miniature is brand new and in it's original packaging. It shows an Earring that Au people wore everyday. The packaging describes how it was acquired and from what materials, namely carved bamboo with animal fur. I've added a photo of another miniature that is somewhat similar to it (although it is slightly smaller and is missing the animal fur) in order to show the rough size and a clearer view than can be had through the plastic packaging. It is time to clear out the souvenirs that have just been stored for years. I have many other items from Papua New Guinea and other places in my store, along with many hand-made items, and treasures from family members' collections that we need to re-home.
