Description: American Locomotive Company (Alco) DL-109 #0722 of the New York New Haven & Hartford circa 1949. This was the only locomotive to wear this color scheme, which was specifically done for use on the Cranberry from Boston to Hyannis, MA. My mugs feature original illustrations that are all based on actual locomotives. I strive to be as accurate as possible with each one, whether it's the location of grab-irons, or unique details such as a bent door handle. Coming from a model train background, I like to think of it as precision modeling… on a coffee mug. All mugs are produced by me personally using a process called sublimation printing, where the image is "baked" into the surface. This makes for a finish that is much more durable and scratch-resistant than just a surface print or paint. While they are very durable, they can be scratched by hard metal edges. Avoid putting them next to silverware in the dishwasher. They are microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and made of high-quality ceramic. Available in 15oz Black or White. FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48.
