The bowl features a beautiful flower shaped porcelain body with an incredible orchestration of colorful glazes. Honesty, when I look at the center of the bowl, it reminds me of an blooming Japanese iris flower. The size of bowl makes it perfect for display on the table, shelf or cabinet. To achieve the imagery inside like we see here requires a lot of skill and of course, luck. The bow is inscribed on the bottom with the initials “RC + SE and Orcas Is”. Their website shows that Syd Exton is present owner of Orcas Island pottery. The bowl is in excellent condition and free of any issues. It has only been cabinet displayed during our ownership. We purchased this bowl from the studio in 2015 and have never used it except for display. There are no issues with it and it still has a 'like new' appearance.
