I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. Outstanding Stabilized Olive Lace Burl knife scales #0272. The dimensions are 6" x 2" x 3/8+" for each scale. This stuff is very hard to find this nice and difficult to stabilize so you won't see it very often. Very cool cat's paw paterning on some of these, would make a fine knife or set of gun grips. The coloration, contrast and lacey burl figure and any curl is outstanding. This stuff is hard and stable, dried in a vacuum oven and then stabilized. UV protection in the finish is always recommended to preserve the richness of the color if it is to be used or displayed under sunlight, fluorescent lighting or any other UV producing artificial lighting. Gun grip blanks, craft wood, micro lumber, box wood, etc. Please note that the color you see on your screen may be different than the color I see on my screen so please ask questions if precise color or shade is important for your project. Photos are of the scales dry, the good side sanded to 220 grit and the backs to 100 grit. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
