You can set the timer, the speed setting, or turn it on and off through its LCD panel, or if you're being lazy, the remote control. The timer has a maximum of 8 hours (auto shut-off) and can be programmed within 1-hour intervals. To clean, wipe the body of the fan with a soft cloth only.
