Description: This is an early 14 karat association membership medal for the Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America. A star-shaped medallion hangs from a red, white and blue ribbon. Founded in 1898, The Daughters of Founders and Patriots of organization requires its members to have ancestors who arrived in the colonies between 1607 and 1686 and also have an ancestor who aided American independence between 1775 and 1784. Not marked to metal content but tests as 14k. Circa 1910-1919. The medal itself measures approximately 1 1/2” across. Measures a grand total of approximately 9 grams including the ribbon and top pin. Top pin is not gold.RECIPIENT: Engraved to Mary Kent Augusta 331 on reverse.
