Description: This one of a kind piece was developed from a rose bush that died on our property, with all the fine details of the emerging thorns (prickles) and rose stem textured surface preserved in this interesting solid bronze sculpture handmade in my workshop. This beautiful, haunting piece makes a great conversation piece. My solid bronze objet d'art small sculptures are developed using the ancient technique of lost wax casting. Permanence of the impermanent is actualized by transforming organic objects that otherwise decay into mini sculptures that can potentially last millennia after being cast in solid bronze. These small bronze sculptures represent a cryptic one way communication with anyone in the future who might come across them, and I'm inviting you to join the discussion and become its temporary steward to that distant future conversation.
