Used LP 'Dollar Brand' (Abdullah Ibrahim): Good News from Africa VG/NM condition

My new (cheap) camera insists on using flash every shot, causing glare, and telephoto/wide adjustment is not sensitive enough to frame things properly.] DOLLAR BRAND (Abdullah Ibrahim) Good News from Africa. Used LP in Very Good/Near Mint condition. enja Records (Germany) Catalog # 2048. Condition: Vinyl has some marred spots and is not quiet (proving that “Manufactured in W. Germany” did not ensure quality), thus I grade it only VG. LP jacket has just minor flaw of partial ring impression on front. Behind the Music: The front of the jacket indicates “Dollar Brand Duo” but the spine just states “Dollar Brand,” and I was trained in doing radio that one goes by what the spine says. ‘Dollar Brand’ was the stage name under which Abdullah Ibrahim performed in the early part of his career, hindered by the Apartheid regime in his native South Africa. This very talented pianist/composer was introduced to global audiences thru the intervention on his behalf of none other than Duke Ellington. To be sure, this is an album by a duo—Ibrahim is joined by long-time collaborator Johnny Dyani, and they both also contribute vocals and percussion to the six selections.
