Description: Vintage 60s S Aqua Blue Sleeveless Maxi Dress Plunging Neckline VFG Vintage Evening Maxi Party Dress Aqua Blue....Sleeveless....Plunging Neckline White Buttons with Gold Trim Up for bid is a wonderful evening party dress in beautiful aqua blue. The size tag reads "8" but please see "How I measure" and measurements below to ensure a proper fit. It measures small. The material is shiny with irregular slubs (thick sections of the yarn) and appears to be doupioni silk although I am not sure. It is rather heavy. Features of this terrific sleeveless vintage dress include a deep V neckline, full lining, wide waistband with three round white buttons with gold trim and fabric loops for decoration on each side of the bodice, gentle gathers along the bottom of the waistline and at the bust, pinked seams, and back plastic zipper with metal hook and thread eye closure and an extra hook and eye at the top and bottom of the waistband. Measurements: Shoulder to shoulder 13 1/2 inches, Underarm to underarm 17 inches, Bust 34, Shoulder to top of waistband 11 inches...shoulder to bottom of waistband 15 inches, Side of waist to side of waist 14 inches, Side of hips to side of hips approx 21 1/2 inches, and Back of neck to bottom hem 52 1/2 inches. This pretty dress is in good condition with a few flaws: There is discoloration under the arms (shown in last two photos), upper back lining and along the back seam of the lining, along with some minor surface dirt which may come out with a proper dry cleaning. There are also some pulls to some of the nubby threads of the fabric and part of the hem is undone and will need some repair. If you need more photos or have questions please send an email.
